Responsible tourism has taken a new course in France thanks to the Acting Association for Responsible Tourism. On 20 June 2014, a day of action for responsible tourism was held with three good news to share: the adoption of a Charter for responsible tourism; three new members to the association Acting for Responsible Tourism; fifty participants at the first opening ATR conference.
The APST looks back at this new step towards a more tourism responsable.À the occasion of his 10th birthday, Action for Responsible Tourism (ATR), a pioneer in sustainable development of tourism in France network, announced its commitment to open and to responsible tourism and gathered a powerful movement. ATR calls on the tourism and travel, and all the women and all who work for responsible tourism, to build together this movement.
A new charter for responsible tourism
The Charter for responsible tourism was developed during the 10 years of the association Acting for Responsible Tourism (ATR), with the aim to gather wider tourism operators claiming to responsible tourism, beyond the circle certified operators. It was adopted by the Extraordinary General Meeting of the Association, June 20, 2014 and signed by all members. It allows you to declare actor responsible tourism and join ATR!
Three new members for ATR
The association welcomes three new members, in addition to the dozen members already members:
Horse Adventure travel specialist horse whose representative, Christophe Leservoisier, is the co-founder of Atalanta, designer of the Code of Ethics of the traveler and the first President of ATR in 2004
Evaneos, travel specialist live across the first platform that connects travelers and local agencies selected worldwide, represented by Eric L Bonnardière wishing to combine innovation and responsibility
Sans Frontières, a specialist in youth travel, a former member of ATR certified until 2012, represented by Luc Babin which marks an enthusiastic return to the association
To date, ATR therefore thirteen active members, including nine certified: Allibert Trekking, Atalante, Chamina Horse Adventure, Counter, Wide Angle, Evaneos, The Balaguère, Nomad, No Borders, Land of Adventure, Tirawa and Travellers World.
